FAQs

  • We perform tattooing, piercings, tooth gems, and laser tattoo removal.

  • Details for how to book with each member of our team are all found on their individual Instagram profiles and on our Contact page.

We have a comprehensive tattoo enquiry form there, and a link to booking yourself in directly for piercings and laser services.

  • We sure do! We’re always happy to accept walk-ins when we have the time, so either walk straight in to ask or just call on the day to check whether we are fully booked or not.

Please note, the very nature of walk-ins is spontaneous and simply trying your luck on the spot, so we cannot guarantee time will be available without the security of a booking.

There are also many tattoos that are not suitable to be performed as walk-ins and will require a booking so we have enough time to prepare.

  • Most days we close at 6pm for tattoos (3pm on Sundays), but piercings and laser are available until 8pm on Thursdays and Fridays by appointment.

  • Tattoo prices vary based on multiple factors including design, size, and placement. Anything that can be completed in one session should be able to be quoted ahead of time so long as we have a clear indication of what you’re after, so please make sure you ask us what to expect before your booking so there’s no awkward surprises on the day. It’s best to come and see us for a free consultation prior to booking a tattoo so that we can give you an accurate idea of pricing, as it can be difficult to determine pricing over email or phone.

Large-scale tattoos that need to be completed over multiple sessions are charged at an hourly rate or capped at a full day rate. Due to the nature of large-scale tattooing, it is unfortunately impossible to give you an accurate quote beforehand, which is why it’s fairer for both you and us if we charge hourly or daily.

Our hourly rates are between $200-250 depending on which artist you’re seeing, and everybody has a different day rate, so feel free to check with us if you’re not sure.

  • Our minimum charge for a tattoo is $150 per person. Please note this does not automatically mean everything small will be $150. Tiny tattoos are often very tricky to execute neatly so they can take longer than expected.

As with any other tattoo, we can happily give you an estimated price based on design, size, and placement.

  • Deposits are required to secure the time for your appointment, and so that we can go ahead and start designing your piece with the knowledge that you’re definitely committed to getting it done. They are deducted from the final price of the service.

The deposit amount you’re asked to pay will vary depending on the size of your tattoo. For tattoos that need to be completed over multiple sessions, the deposit is rolled over for each appointment and then deducted from the payment of the final session.

Deposits are non-refundable so please be sure you’re read to get tattooed before making a booking.

  • We need 24-48hrs notice of rescheduling in order to retain a valid deposit. As deposits are non-refundable, they will not be returned if you decide to cancel your appointment entirely.

Our policy is 24hrs notice for smaller tattoos, and 48hrs notice for full day bookings.

It can be very hard to fill cancellation spots at the last minute, which is why this policy is in place. As stated above, remember that deposits are non-refundable so please only book when you’re 100% ready.

  • Unfortunately if you cancel within the stated time, you will need to pay another deposit to rebook.

We do understand that unforeseen things happen sometimes, and we are generally pretty accommodating, but serial offenders may end up being asked for a much bigger deposit to rebook after multiple late cancellations, or may not be offered the option to rebook at all.

  • Please let us know as soon as possible.

Minor changes and tweaks on the spot are generally no trouble at all, however if your tattoo is large or your idea changes are significant, we might have to reschedule the tattoo appointment to another time in order to redraw the design.

  • We strongly recommend that you do NOT use numbing cream for tattoos.

Numbing creams are topical products - they are not intended to be used subdermally/on broken skin during the tattooing process.

There are now many cases around the globe of people suffering severe reactions to numbing creams; ranging from allergies, through to going into shock and even being hospitalised. For this reason, our artists will likely send you away if you arrive to your tattoo appointment with numbing cream on.

We do not want to risk your health and safety, therefore we cannot in good conscience recommend that you use any type of pharmaceuticals to cope with the discomfort of getting tattooed. This includes oral painkillers.

Numbing cream is fine to apply prior to laser tattoo removal sessions because the skin is not being opened, however there are still precautions you need to take to ensure the product is used safely.

  • We are quite a small studio so your friends or family won’t be able to sit with you while you get tattooed, sorry. They are welcome to accompany you to the studio to drop you off beforehand, but we really cannot accomodate extra people in the shop. Our waiting area is tiny and can literally only fit a couple of people in it at once. There’s plenty of things to do up and down King Street if your mates need to kill time!

If you require an interpreter, carer, or aide, we can of course happily accommodate this.

  • Sorry, under no circumstances do we tattoo anybody under the age of 18. Even if you do have parental consent. This is our strict studio policy, as well as fairly standard practice in Australia. Please don’t be tempted to let your friend’s cousin’s neighbour tattoo you at their house! We promise if you just wait until you’re 18, you can get a much nicer tattoo from an experienced and reputable tattoo artist - even if it’s not here at our studio specifically.
