MAT FINK
Mat has been tattooing since 2010, previously spending a decade in the Royal Australian Navy. He’s a proud Gomeroi man and genuinely loves tattooing in all styles, but his favourite pieces are absolutely anything mob related, native Australian flora and fauna, and full colour nature-themed tattoos in a realistic illustrative style reminiscent of old school scientific botanical illustrations.
WARRICK MCMILES
Warrick is a proud Gomeroi man and former member of the Royal Australian Navy, who came into this industry with a solid background in graphic design, illustration, and large scale hand-painted mural work. He has been tattooing since 2016 and specialises in freehand custom lettering, black and grey realism, detailed illustrative work, and anything mob related. Warrick especially loves tattooing anything weird, creepy or psychedelic, and all native Australian fauna - especially peoples’ totems.
JURRAH CLARITA
Jurrah is our Studio Manager at Something Original, which is a role she has held at various studios in Sydney since 2013. Jurrah is the first point of contact when you reach out to us, and after working in this industry for over a decade she is more than capable of answering anything you want to know about tattoos, so please don’t hesitate to ask.
In 2023 Jurrah took up handpoked tattooing, predominantly focusing on traditional Filipino batek markings, as well as small earthy/celestial flash designs and magick sigils that are aesthetically similar but not culturally specific.
JESS BUXTON
Jess is our resident body piercer, and laser tattoo removal specialist. She started piercing in 2014 at The Illustrated Man tattoo studio in Surry Hills. The fast-paced environment and high-quality standard required Jess to become an exceptionally fast and accurate piercer.
Jess has over 12 years experience in the tattoo industry as a studio manager and artist assistant, so she understands better than most how to best utilise laser treatment in order to prepare for a cover up tattoo.
As well as piercings and tattoo removal, Jess also performs laser facials, skin resurfacing, and scar reduction, as well as semi-permanent tooth gems.

NIKITA WILLIAMS
Nikita has been tattooing full time since 2017, gaining knowledge beyond her years from some stellar studios around Sydney. She specialises in bold Japanese artwork and neo-traditional tattooing styles, as well as ornamental and woodcut designs. Nikita’s favourite subjects to tattoo are snakes, girl heads, and anything weird or supernatural like monsters and Japanese yokai.
MIKHALA ROSE
Mikhala started tattooing in 2021 and honed her skills in an extremely busy street shop in the bustling tourist town of Byron Bay, which made her a very fast and competent tattooer in a short amount of time. She loves doing everything from teeny tiny tattoos to large scale detailed work. Mikhala’s favourite things to tattoo are roses in any style, and she specialises in fine line tattooing, custom lettering, realism, and micro-realism.
AL MATHEWS
Al started tattooing in 2022, gaining a lot of experience in a short space of time working in a super busy street shop in Byron Bay, where he grew up. Al is capable of tattooing most styles, but his first love will always be bold American traditional. When Al isn’t tattooing you’ll probably find him painting old school flash, at a gig, or watching some obscure cult cinema classic.
